Appleton™ WST and WDS Series cast aluminum enclosed disconnect switches are designed for applications where a heavy duty switch is required. Their gasketed design allows them to be used for raintight or watertight nonhazardous applications.
The WST 600 Vac or 600 Vdc and WDS 600 Vac units are available in 30, 60 and 100 Amp, fused and non-fused models.
They are used to control power to fixed electrical equipment such as welders, generators, compressors, infrared ovens, batch feeders and conveyors.
Features
Ideal for use in automotive and steel processing plants, pulp and paper processing plants, milk processing plants and creameries, fabrication yards and shipyards, refrigerated truck terminals and other industrial plant applications
WST Series is UL Listed and the WDS Series CSA Certified
Gasketed design allows use in raintight or watertight non-hazardous applications
Switch technology: operating mechanism designed to endure at least three times the number of operations required by NEMA and UL standards; modular componentry designed for quick and easy maintenance; visible blades for an extra measure of safety while the low mass cam
Ergonomically designed handle is made of high-impact polymer or cast aluminum material for exceptional ruggedness, durability and corrosion resistance. WST has an insulated, dual-color polymer operating handle clearly indicates the switch being energized
