They are suitable for use in wet or corrosive atmospheres, as well as classified hazardous locations exposed to flammable gases, vapors or dusts.

- Designed for Zones 1 or 2 areas, where flammable gases or vapors are present either continuously, often or accidentally such as petroleum and chemical facilities, refineries and other industrial process facilities
- Designed for use in Zones 21 or 22 areas where flammables dusts (conductive and non conductive) are present either continuously, often or accidentally such as food processing facilities, dairy facilities, brewing facilities, silos and other industrial process facilities
